New President ETIM International

On the 6th of June at the board- and general assembly meeting of ETIM International in Sopot (Poland) Franz Ernst was elected as new president of ETIM International; the new vice-president is Ryszard D’Antoni of ETIM Poland. The outgoing president Marc Habets will be replacing Gérard Rovère, who is enjoying retirement, as chairman of the technical committee.

The status of ETIM in the member countries is very promising and there is also a lot of interest from ‘new’ countries such as Czech Republic, Finland, Denmark and Russia. The international organization is developing gradually to a professional level that is ready to support the rapid expansion. Procedures and processes for change management of the model are being fine-tuned and documented as a solid basis for international cooperation in the model development, also to ensure the model quality. The existing cooperation with IDEA in the United States will also be put to the next level of model harmonization in short term.

Last but not least the availability of ETIM classified product data from important international manufacturers is increasing substantially and enhances the actual international (uniform and efficient) data exchange,  which still is our major goal to achieve!
